What a difference...

a year makes.  It was one year ago today that we found out that we were pregnant.  And now our baby is almost 16 weeks old.  I would not change the last year for anything.  I can't imagen what our life would have been like now with out Will.

First Restruant Outing

We went to visit with some friends in Pflugerville to see their new son. We decided to stop for dinner on the way home at a Chick-fil-a. This is a shot with the manager, our friend, Robert.

Progress

Casey and Dad brought over the crib and changing table/dresser. It took a little bit to get them situated but they are here.

Casey did a great job making the crib and staining the dresser to match. Casey thank you so much. You did a great job!!!

We did our first load of baby clothes!! Logos was making sure that I was not alone in folding and that the piles did not fall over.

And now?

Just wanted to update you.  We are at 38 weeks, and 3 days to be exact, so 11/2 weeks to go.  We had an ulrasound this morning and we got a picture of our Little Pumpkin's face.  The ultrasound says that our baby is about 8lbs, 6 oz right now.  That means the baby is probably a little smaller than that.  We will wait and see what our Little Pumpkin comes out as.

Ch...ch…ch…changes

This summer we knew that it was the only time we would have lots of time to work on the nursery. So Jeff worked on the nursery. So we made the decision to move the study to the front room and the room next room the master is to be the nursery. It’s also further from the living room so that it will be quieter. You know that one thing leads to another. We needed to move the stuff out of the front room, to some where, so most of it went into the garage. Then Jeff cleaned and organized the garage. It’s not done yet but well on its way. The nursery is almost done, just a few things to finish up. Here are some pictures of the progress. I unfortunaly don't have a picture of what it started like.

Doctor Visit #4

Had another doctor visit today. Our little pumpkin is growing at a normal pace. He measured right at 21w or 21w 2d, depending on what you measured. We did not find out the gender of the baby. The "he" is a royal one. We did not like the idea of calling the baby "it" and the baby is no longer a 'little peanut' at about a pound.

Doctor Visit #2

Today we went for our second doctor visit. We got to hear the baby's heart beat. A great 157, I might add. It's amazing. Some times I don't think its really happening. I am now 12 weeks and 6 days. I am almost at the end of my first trimester and am blessed that I have had none of the 'typical' pregnancy symptoms, no morning sickness (I think that Jeff took care of that while he was sick), no cravings, no real food aversions. I am truly blessed. I have been eating more and slightly more tired but nothing a power nap in the afternoon can't fix. I do have to keep something in my stomach all the time but that is not that hard. I am even proud to say that I did not gain any weight through the first 13 weeks. I really don't want to gain 30 or 40 pounds. Did you know that you only need about 300 extra daily calories? I have not been counting or anything like that, just being smart about what I do eat. I was on WeightWatchers before getting pregnant, and doing well. Over the last year I have learned to eat healthy, with the right portion sizes and the right proportions of food. That I have just carried that on and I think, no know, that is what has helped me the most. I am looking forward to the rest of this adventure.

Announcment

Jeff and I went to a good appointment today. The Austin McBride Family wish to announce the coming of our first child. This is the first of what we hope will be good doctor appointments. We meet with our OBGYN and had a sonogram.

Isn't our little pumpkin cute? We are due the 20th of October. We are very excited. We will share more info as we know it. We appreciate all the prayers.
